All set to buy a new body kit for your car??? But do you actually know what would be the best body kit up gradation to your car or just hears and sees are guiding you??? Prior to taking this big dive into the body kit market, there are few basic essential which you should keep in mind in order to select the best possible car body kit that suits your vehicle both aesthetically and aerodynamically.
To start with, you should know the entire process of buying a body kit. Make a mental flowchart of what all you should do. The first and foremost thing is to clear your mind about what kind of a body kit you are looking for??? You may be a car racer or you may not, yet you may have this urge to go for a racer car body kit. So just be sure of yourself.
Now there are various types of body kit sets available. There are fiberglass, urethane and even carbon fiber body kits in the market. Now the next step is to know what all these individually offer and which one suits your requirements.
Let’s check Fiberglass first. a fiberglass bodykit it is most preferred due to being light in weight and easy to repair. That means if you manage an accident or just hit another car and your vehicle suffers a bump or any kind of damage, it could be repaired easily with a fiberglass body kit. The best part about this kind of a body kit is that it can be repaired any where and you need not look for a specialized mechanic to do the job. Secondly, paint looks perfect in fiberglass and does not get absorbed by the surface. Although fiberglass body kit do have negative points about them as well. These are not long lasting and by chance if you live in an area which has lot of dust and dirt, your body kit may end up getting beyond refurbish as well.
Then Urethane body kits are available in the market. These are enormously flexible and robust. There are hardly any chances of these getting cracked. Although you may not get these body kits in every shop and you may have to place an order for these. Not to forget that a Urethane body kit is non amendable. That means even if there is a single chip or crack, it wont be able to get fixed. This means that these are not so cost effective.
Next comes Carbon Fiber ultra light and ultra powerful body kit. Well what you can expect from something that makes a bullet proof jacket!!! The painting and finish is too good in carbon fiber but the only problem is that they are too expensive and cannot be easily mended once broken.
Once you know all the varieties of car body kits, indeed it would be easy to select the right one for you that not only is visually pleasing but is strong to protect your car as well.
